Team Nutrition
The United States Department of Agriculture's Food and Nutrition Service supports child nutrition program providers efforts to serve nutritious meals and create a healthy eating environment through our Team Nutrition initiative and the Patrick Leahy Farm to School Program. Team Nutrition supports national efforts to promote lifelong healthy food choices and physical activity by improving the nutrition practices of the child nutrition programs. We provide resources to schools, child care settings, and summer meal sites that participate in these programs. The Farm to School Program helps child nutrition program providers incorporate local foods into their meals and connects children with where their food comes from through agricultural and nutrition-based education. We provide support through grants, research, technical assistance, and training.
