White House Releases Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy

Last week, the White House released the Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy Report, which outlines actions to be taken by the executive branch to address the childhood chronic disease crisis. The strategy includes actions related to Child Nutrition Programs, primarily school meals. The report does highlight how the CACFP can be operated in partnership with Head Start and child care subsidy programs to promote healthy eating in child care settings. NCA will continue to monitor the implementation of strategies impacting CNPs.

Farm to School Grants Available

USDA has opened applications for the FY2026 Patrick Leahy Farm to School Grants. USDA will be awarding up to $18 million through this grant opportunity. The application deadline is December 5, 2025. Visit the FY 2026 Farm to School Grant Program website to check your eligibility and access the request for application.
