White House Releases Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy
Last week, the White House released the Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy Report, which outlines actions to be taken by the executive branch to address the childhood chronic disease crisis. The strategy includes actions related to Child Nutrition Programs, primarily school meals. The report does highlight how the CACFP can be operated in partnership with Head Start and child care subsidy programs to promote healthy eating in child care settings. NCA will continue to monitor the implementation of strategies impacting CNPs.
